Music

I record music, sometimes

I really enjoy the songwriting and recording / mixing process. However, I am horrible at finishing songs once I start. Here are some demos and covers I’ve recorded over the years.

  1. Call Me The Breeze: This is a cover of JJ Cale’s 1972 song. It’s the first song I recorded and mixed by myself. There are things I’d change but I’m really proud of how it turned out.

  2. Untitled 14: This is something I wrote after hearing “Harry Green” from Tom Petty’s Wildflowers expanded edition a few years ago. It may get restructured and have lyrics added at some point.

  3. Kyann Western: This is a song I wrote and recored on the spot when I was showing my wife (then my girlfriend) how recording music works. It’s mostly inspired by a new Billy Gibbons track that had just come out called “Desert High”, and some tracks by The Mermen. I’d love to make something more of this track in the future.

  4. Untitled 18: I don’t really know where this came from. I think I wanted an eerie or ominous sounding song, really happy with how it turned out. Currently just an instrumental. Looking back, it definitely has a vibe from Pink Floyd’s The Wall.

  5. Pasta: Another eerie sounding track. The title has nothing to do with the song, I threw it on when I hit save. I would love to develop this one more.
